DJ and Vampire life in Second Life

OK all of you wonderful people out there. If you didn't know this yet I am a DJ in second life. Yes that's right, I attempt to burn up the sl airwaves at some of the best clubs in SL. Let me tell you I have found this to be a blast! The people you can meet are one of the best parts of the job. Yes I said job because I make Lindens, which of course is sl's term for money. Which is a good thing because as I have talked about before I do love my shopping. However I find that even better then the money I make are the friendships I find. I work at three clubs now the incredible Club Embraced which is owned by two very dear friends of mine, Club Haze and Club Distruktion, all of which are vampire friendly. Which brings me to my next topic.

Playing a RP in second life is one of the great perks. Allowing you to do something you would not do normally and also allowing you to participate in the other parts of SL that are not considered RP. I have chosen to be a vampire in second life. This is something I have found to be not only enjoyable but a way to make friends. I have made some wonderful friends and would not trade my experience for anything. The only problem is that people tend to give us vampires a bad rap. I am here to tell you we are normal people. Yes there are a few that may push or try to bite you without your knowledge, but in reality it is ALWAYS your choice to be bitten. You cannot be bitten unless you except the bite. So that is your choice, if you are bitten it is because you excepted it. There is no way for us to bite you without your permission, and the way to avoid it is to not except it. However I do not bite randomly. I always talk to people and find out if they are interested in the game. If they are I give them all the information available and train them so they have the knowledge to play it correctly. For remember knowledge is power and the more you have the better you are at whatever you choose to do. So I would love it if people would stop classifying us into a category we don't all belong. Don't discount us and not get to know us just because we play a vampire in SL. We are still regular people and you may be missing out on someone truly extraordinary if you don't at least take a few minutes to talk to us. We need to get rid of the stigma that all vampires are bad and start working on the positive aspects and of course the fun.

So if you see me out there in the SL world send me an im. Try and get to know me you will see I am a nice person even if I am a vampire, and I never bite unless you ask or give your permission. It is just not my style and is not the style of the majority. Give us a chance and you will find friendly, interesting and beautiful people behind those fangs. So really what have you got to lose?
